Regulatory Compliance
Compliance is our competitive advantage
We protect your brand on Amazon before we grow your sales on Amazon. Every product we handle follows a compliance-first process — from authorised sourcing to compliant listing to fulfilled delivery.
What We Know — and Prove
Selling health, personal care, and consumer products on Amazon UK means satisfying two sets of rules at once: the regulatory framework (MHRA, GDP, product safety law) and Amazon's own platform restrictions. Miss either one and your listing gets pulled. Here's what we stay on top of.
UK & EU Regulation
MHRA guidelines — OTC medicines, medical devices, and the borderline products that sit awkwardly between categories.
Product classification — medicinal product, medical device, food supplement, or cosmetic? Getting it wrong is how listings get suspended.
GDP-aligned processes — storage, handling, and traceability that meet Good Distribution Practice standards.
Post-Brexit marking — UKCA vs CE requirements, plus Northern Ireland Protocol labelling where it applies.
Responsible Person — obligations under both UK and EU cosmetics regulations, in place before listing.
Labelling details — batch codes, expiry formatting, PILs, multi-language requirements. The things that trip people up.
Amazon Platform Rules
Restricted categories — health products are gated at the ASIN level. Ungating requires specific documentation we prepare.
Brand Registry & Transparency — IP protection setup, listing control, and counterfeit reporting.
Compliant listings — correct categories, mandatory safety info, no prohibited health claims.
Ad compliance — ASA/CAP codes for health products. What you can and can't say in Sponsored ads.
Account Health — policy violations tracked and resolved before they escalate to suspension.
Multi-marketplace — regulatory differences across UK, DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, SE, PL.
Supply Chain Integrity
Every product we handle has a traceable, authorised path from brand owner to customer. No grey market stock. No commingled inventory.
Authorised sourcing only
Direct from brand owners or their appointed wholesalers. Every purchase order has chain-of-custody documentation — if we can't prove where it came from, we don't sell it. Every unit gets an FNSKU label so your stock is never commingled with other sellers' inventory inside Amazon's warehouses.
Batch-level traceability
We track from PO to Amazon delivery. If a safety alert hits, we can identify affected stock in hours, not days. That speed matters when regulators are asking questions.
Expiry management
FEFO monitoring and proactive removal orders. Short-dated stock gets pulled before it becomes a customer complaint or a brand reputation problem.
Anti-Counterfeiting
Counterfeits on Amazon are a real problem — especially in health categories. We take a zero-tolerance approach, and we back it up with the tools and documentation to prove it.
Amazon Transparency
Unique codes on every unit. Customers scan to verify authenticity — and Amazon uses the same codes to catch counterfeits before they ship.
Brand Registry
We handle Brand Registry setup, trademark protection, and listing control. When violations appear, we report and escalate — you don't have to chase it yourself.
No Grey Market
Every product comes from an authorised channel. No parallel imports, no "we found a cheaper source" surprises. Documentation available on request.
Import & Customs Compliance
Cross-border trade is paperwork-heavy and detail-sensitive. We maintain the registrations, file the declarations, and keep the ongoing compliance current — so you don't have to build that capability in-house.
- Customs Declarations
- Correct HMRC commodity codes for pharma and consumer health products. Every shipment has full documentation — wrong codes mean delays, and we don't do delays.
- Rules of Origin
- Documentation under the UK-EU TCA for tariff-free movement where applicable. Incorrect origin declarations lead to duties, delays, and retroactive assessments.
- Dual VAT Registration
- UK VAT (GB428014813) and German VAT (DE367673042). Both active, both filed on schedule.
- EORI Numbers
- UK EORI (GB428014813000) and EU EORI (NL827809992). Clearance-ready on both sides.
- Companies House
- UK-registered #14441635. Verify on Companies House (opens in new tab).
- Import VAT Recovery
- Postponed VAT accounting for FBA imports, properly recorded for HMRC reporting. No surprises at quarter-end.
Returns & Recalls
Health products can't just go back on the shelf. Here's how we handle both scenarios.
Returns Handling
Returned health and personal care products are classified as unfulfillable — they don't get resold. Removal orders are processed promptly so returned stock doesn't sit in limbo inside Amazon's warehouses.
Recall Readiness
Because we track at the batch level, a safety alert doesn't mean a panicked search. We can identify affected stock, coordinate removal through Amazon's procedures, and keep you informed throughout. The process is documented and tested before it's ever needed.

Data Protection & GDPR
Your commercial information, product data, and partnership details are handled under UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Nothing we learn during a partnership gets shared without your consent.
NDAs before the first product conversation? Standard. Formal distribution agreements? Ready to go. Whatever confidentiality terms your procurement team requires, we can work within them. Read our full privacy policy.
Compliance FAQ
Questions brand partners typically raise during due diligence.
- How do you prevent inventory commingling?
- FNSKU labels on every unit. Your products carry unique barcodes in Amazon's warehouses, so they're never mixed with anyone else's stock. Manufacturer barcodes are never used for FBA shipments.
- What happens if Amazon suspends a listing?
- It's rare, but it happens. When it does, we prepare the appeal, gather supporting documentation, and engage directly with Seller Support. More importantly, our Account Health management is designed to prevent suspensions in the first place.
- How do you handle product recalls?
- Batch-level traceability means we can pinpoint affected stock quickly. Removal orders issued, Amazon's recall procedures followed, brand kept informed throughout. We actively monitor MHRA Yellow Card reporting obligations.
- Will you undercut our pharmacy pricing?
- No. MAP policies and brand pricing guidelines are agreed before we list anything. Amazon through Bison is a complementary channel, not a competing one.
- Can we audit your compliance processes?
- Yes — and we'd be surprised if a serious brand partner didn't want to. Processes, documentation, supply chain records — all available for inspection.
